Be flexible all-year-round with the Avalanche Dump Box Spreader. It connects to your dump body in about 15 minutes by sliding through an opening in the tailgate of your truck and locking just one pin. Connect it for snow & ice control and quickly disconnect it to use your truck to haul other material. There's no need to change your whole dump body.

FAQ
Q: Will there be material left over on the sides of the spreader?
There will be a small amount on either side of the spreader body that remains. Customers easily deal with this by tilting the dump body enough to cause the remaining salt/sand to slide to the back of box and spill over the spreader conveyor. Then they lower the dump body and continue salting. Generally you’ll need to do this only once or twice per load.
At the end of the day, you are able to spread 70% more material per payload than with a V-box. This means fewer trips back to the yard to fill up. It means being able to provide better service to your customers because your operator can stay out there longer. Your truck is more flexible throughout the season because you can slide out the spreader when you don’t need it (takes only 15 minutes) and haul other material without having to change over the whole dump body. Your truck will also be safer because of the Dump Box Spreader allows you to have a lower center of gravity than you would with a V-Box.
Q: Can I dump material from my dump box with the Dump Box Spreader still attached?
Yes. The Dump Box Spreader is specifically designed to give you this capability. The spreader is connected to your truck by means of single pin which secures it to your tailgate. So when you dump a load, the spreader will slide back with the tailgate as it swings back and opens. In fact, when it slides back with the tailgate it will partially rise of the dump bed and make power washing underneath it easy. |
